Positive Feedback Walk-Through Forms Treats | Instructional Coaching

Positive Feedback Walk-Through Forms are strengths-based observation tools designed to intentionally highlight what is working well in classrooms. Rather than focusing on deficits or next steps, these forms center on celebrating effective instructional practices, positive classroom environments, and thoughtful teaching moves observed during a classroom visit.

These walk-through forms are ideal for instructional coaches, administrators, mentors, and teacher leaders who want to build trust, boost morale, and reinforce strong teaching practices through meaningful, affirming feedback. They can be used during formal or informal observations, quick classroom walk-throughs, or as intentional “treats” that recognize and appreciate teachers’ daily work.

To support flexibility across coaching and leadership contexts, this product includes both printable and digital versions. Each feedback form is provided in two formats:

• A version with a pre-made walk-through checklist
• A version without a checklist, allowing for full customization

How the Forms Work

Checklist Version

During a classroom visit, simply check the instructional practices or classroom elements that stand out and add a brief, personalized note to the teacher. These forms make it easy to provide timely, specific, and positive feedback that teachers can reflect on and revisit.

Open-Ended Version

This version provides open space for leaders to add their own checklists, coaching notes, or reflective comments. It is ideal for customized observation goals, district priorities, or individual coaching conversations.

Restrictions
